Ekelesi Ziwa is a guidance Counselor who is very passionate about changing the lives of young people, women and the youth. Prior to establishing Thuso Foundation, she served as Deputy Registrar of Chreso University where she interacted with diverse groups of young people, helping them to access information that would lead to academic success.

Ekelesi also served as a mentor under Visible Women International where she impacted the lives of young women who were assigned to her for mentorship. She holds a Master of Education in Guidance and Counselling and a degree in Adult Education. She firmly believes in bringing out the best in other people and has since made it a goal to give an opportunity to every child to thrive while learning from every person that she meets.
